The only reason this course is kind of hard is because he goes at a fast pace and doesn't like to backtrack. He is old fashioned and you only have the book to use, whereas other math courses have online programs to help people study.

I do not like math or usually do not do well in it, but Prof. Bueker provided tutoring a couple days a week. He always has a question session over the previous nights homework. He is very willing to help you if you are willing to do the work. He is a great teacher. I would highly recommend him.

I Had This Class 5 Days A Week At 8AM. The Teacher Was Rather Amusing. Not Only Did He Make It Fun, But Was Always Willing To Work With You Until You Understood. Even Though Homework Problems Were Assigned, He Never Took Them Up. I Advise You To Do Them Though. If You Do, You Will Have No Problems On The Weekly Quizzes Or Exams. Overall, It Was An Easy Class. I'd Suggest This Guy To Anyone!

Dr. Bueker Rocks! He'll make this class fun for you. He's old-school and retired military (2 quality attributes). I think he's about 150 years old or something and he still has the patience to help out young college kids who sometimes don't want to be at class. He helps you out when you ask questions. He pretty much expects someone to be asking a few questions about the homework every morning at the beginning of class. Too bad the class moves so fast. By the time you learn something, you're moving on to new material. Dr. B is a great math professor. He's not easy though. YOU MUST DO THE HOMEWORK (which he never collects) otherwise you'll be lost. Go to the math lab immediately once you start having trouble. And tell Dr. B about your troubles. You have to earn your grade but he wants you to pass. I've heard other math instructors are just as hard and their classes move just as fast. Don't let yourself get behind in this class or you'll do poorly. Dr. B explains the material with excellence and he will challenge you in class to assist with the solving of problems. I would raise my hand every day and ask for help and he helped. Math is a required subject so if you place into Math 096/100 (same thing), Dr. B will certainly help you. There might be easier instructors, but the math is still the same. You either know it or you don't. Dr. B is fun with some of his teaching skills. He uses a funny term , which you'll learn, during factoring (chunk-chunk). And then there's always the cannon. LOL I tought this class was tough but not out of the ordinary. Remember, get additional help (if you need it) during his office hours or just go to the math lab (1st floor).

I know the class is easy but Math is my worst subject. I studied quite a bit and got a B. Other people were just smart in Math and didn't study and got A's. Many loud annoying students in the class. Beuker is a really cool older rock climber dude and is a good teacher. He can expain everything to you and he makes you think fast because he is a little impatient. Everything you need is in the book but if you talk to him after class he is more patient and relaxed. I think all the kids talking when he was teaching made him irritable. Great teacher though and an obtainable A although I couldn't get it.

Professor Bueker is one of the nicest people you'll meet here. He moves at a fast pace, but if you don't understand something, he won't move on until you understand it. He cares and struggles if you don't understand it. We had homework every night from the book, we just checked it in class. Then we had worksheets he gave us everyday to go along with the lesson. We had quizzes about every week or two, 10 points. Tests were about every couple of weeks, on Thursdays when we had an hour class, consisting of about 50 problems. This is a good class to take if you have to have it before 116, but not at 8:00 in the morning...

Mr. Bueker is a good man! It really upsets him if he thinks his students aren't understanding the material and you can tell he really wants his students to succeed. I'm horrible at math and his techniques helped me to understand things better. He gives out worksheets daily for you to work on which helps alot. Homework is assigned every night. He doesnt' collect this homework, but it would be in your best interest to do at least half of it. Overall, good rating for Mr. B.

I loved Mr. Bueker. I thought he was one of the best math teachers I've ever had. He won't hestitate for a second to help a student out and his class is never dull. There are ten quizzes which are no big deal and four one hour tests. The tests can sometimes be more difficult than you expect, but overall they are pretty easy. ALWAYS do your homework and you shouldn't have any problems at all.

Mr. Bueker is an excellent teacher. He is willing to help any student out and also makes the class fun. I would recommend taking him. You have a quiz every week but they are only five questions worth 10 points. You have four hourly test and a final. Test are not long and pretty simple. Overall Bueker is an excellent teacher.

Mr. Bueker is a pretty good teacher, however he gets frustrated if you can't understand what he's trying to say or if you have your own way of doing problems that don't agree with his. He gives quizzes about once a week, but gives lots of review. Tests are done at the end of each chapter, but he gives you a week's worth of review before them. He's very willing to work with you if you don't understand, just stick with him and don't give up when he gets frustrated. I would take him again.

Dr. Bueker is a good professor, yet he makes some very harsh comments sometimes. He is excellent at providing help outside of the class, but inside of class make sure you don't ask any stupid questions.
